DJ Sets by Nyege Nyege

For the fourth year in a row, SNF Nostos partners with Nyege Nyege, the Ugandan avant-garde electronic music institution to present explosive DJ sets from amazing musicians from the African continent who can’t help keeping crowds on their feet!

Nyege Nyege is a collective in Kampala, Uganda, that was founded in 2014 to promote outsider music by East African artists, but has since grown to work with artists across the continent. Nyege Nyege organizes parties and artist residencies, runs two record labels, and hosts an annual multi-day music festival. Its name refers to a Luganda word describing "a sudden, uncontrollable urge to dance.”
