On Wednesday August 25th at 18:30 (EET), SNF Dialogues, a series of events held through journalism nonprofit iMEdD (incubator for Media Education and Development), will host an open discussion during the SNF Nostos, on the topic of “Humanity-AI Symbiosis” in collaboration with SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University.

Guided by expert perspectives and driven by the audience’s curiosity, the DIALOGUES discussion will approach the ethical, philosophical, and social issues that arise from the use of developed AI systems in our everyday life, and what will the future hold for society and democracy. A live discussion with an AI system will be also presented, giving food for thought and creating the field for further discussion and a Q&A with young people, in the last part of the event.

Taking part in the discussion will be:
Stelios Virvidakis, Professor of Philosophy, Department of History and Philosophy of Science, NKUA
Ethan Zuckerman, Associate Professor of Public Policy, Communication and Information, University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
