The Cinematic Orchestra

The Great Lawn stage fills with the enigmatic and awe inspiring sounds of The Cinematic Orchestra, through their latest release, To Believe.

The British band, which was created in 1999 by DJ and composer Jason Swinscoe, combines jazz and electronic music, constantly reforming its sound by incorporating recorded remixed samples and live improvisation.

Its most recent release constitutes a beautiful and uplifting masterpiece based on the simple idea that the prerequisite of everything in life is belief.

To Believe is a creation that reaches back to the very roots of what The Cinematic Orchestra has always been, while looking forward, drawing on new influences and production techniques to stay utterly contemporary.
