Sikelela Rollom
Youth Leadership Committee Member at Radio Workshop
Sikelela Rollom, 23, is a passionate storyteller and youth advocate currently serving on the Youth Leadership Committee (YLC) at Radio Workshop. In this role, she helps shape youth-led programming to ensure it reflects the needs and voices of her community. Her media journey began in 2019 as a youth reporter at Nkqubela FM, in partnership with Radio Workshop, where she produced radio content on mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and climate change. She now volunteers as a journalist and news editor at Nelson Mandela University's Madibaz Radio, where she continues to inform and engage young audiences. She has also worked as a community journalist for the Vuka Vuma Vax campaign by Vuselela Media in partnership with UNICEF, producing stories on the impact of COVID-19 in communities around South Africa.
