The use of the website https://www.snfnostos.org, as well as the terms and conditions of information provided by us, are governed by the present document. By using this website, you accept the following terms and conditions and are bound by them. Please check the content of these terms and conditions regularly, as we reserve the right to modify them at any time according to the applicable legislation.

This website is managed by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Its contents are the property of the Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation for Charity, which is based in Bermuda and has an office in Athens at 86A, Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, P.O. Box 11528 (hereinafter the “SNF”).

The SNF does not control third-parties’ websites to which it provides links and is not liable for their content. The links to other websites are provided for the convenience of our visitors, without this implying any relationship between the Foundation and their owners, nor any guarantee as to the quality or accuracy of the information contained in the third-parties’ websites. Under no circumstances is the SNF liable for any damage the user may suffer from his/her visit to other sites, including any unlawful processing of his or her personal data.

The websites to which we link are protected by legislation on intellectual and industrial property, trademark or other related laws of any relevant country. The referral through a link from this website to other websites does not exclude the application of the above laws by the owners of the latter, in case of their violation when using material contained in them. In addition, the existence of links does not imply the assumption of the Foundation’s liability for any misuse of the information contained in the aforementioned websites.

Private use does not refer to the use within the context of an enterprise, a service or an organization. SNF makes every effort to ensure the proper functioning of its infrastructure, but in no case guarantees that the operation of the website will be uninterrupted or without any kind of error, free of viruses and similar elements.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

The Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation for Charity, which is based in Bermuda and has an office in Athens at 86A, Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, P.O. Box 11528 (hereinafter the “SNF”), organizes annually at the premises of Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (hereinafter the “SNFCC”) the international multi-collective festival of artistic, sports and educational content called “SNF Nostos”. SNF Nostos combines a fresh lineup of beloved Greek and international artists with annual signature events: the SNF Nostos Conference featuring luminaries from diverse spheres, the evening SNF Nostos RUN and the SNF Dialogues.  

This year the “SNF Nostos Conference” on the topic of Mental Health will take place on June 21-23 at the premises of SNFCC, while the “Release Athens X SNF Nostos” will take place on June 20, 21 and 23 on two stages, at the Water Plaza (Plateia Nerou) and at the Great Lawn of the SNFCC, as an integral part of Release Athens 2023.

The present document intends to provide you with information on how SNF, as Data Controller, processes your personal data through the website https://www.snfnostos.org.

The processing of the personal data of the users of this website is governed by these terms, by the relevant provisions of the applicable legislation on personal data and by the relevant decisions, instructions and regulatory acts of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).

The users of the present website declare that they are at least 15 years old and are therefore able to consent to the processing of their personal data under the applicable legislation on personal data. If the website is used by minors under the age of 15, it is assumed that parental consent has been granted, with the SNF bearing no liability for the use by minors under the age of 15 without parental consent.

PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS, PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS OF PROCESSING

Your data is collected and processed for the purpose of your participation in the “SNF Nostos Conference” of SNF Nostos and for the information you need to receive about it, in accordance with Article 6§1b of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Specifically, we will collect your full name, email address and mobile phone number in order to make and confirm your registration.

Furthermore, with your explicit consent, the Data Controller will use the email address you provided during your registration in order to inform you in the future, via email, about the events, activities and news of SNF, in accordance with Article 6§1a of the GDPR. If you expressly consent to receive updates as described above, your name and contact details will be retained for an indefinite period of time, until you request your withdrawal of your consent and the cessation of receiving updates and processing by selecting the “unsubscribe” link, available on each update you receive.

In addition, we would like to inform you that SNF may take photos or videos from the events of SNF Nostos which will take place at the SNFCC, as well as from the events which will take place at the Water Plaza (Plateia Nerou) and at the Great Lawn of the SNFCC in the context of the “Release Athens X SNF Nostos”. This material, as such or embedded into other audiovisual materials, will be posted on SNF’s official websites and its social media accounts for the purpose of promoting the SNF Nostos events.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

SNF may disclose your data to the journalism nonprofit iMEdD (incubator for Media Education and Development), in collaboration with which SNF organizes the SNF Nostos Conference, as well as to third parties (individual or legal entities) who provide SNF with communication planning and promotion services, IT and e-ticketing providers, only to the extent necessary for the performance of their obligations towards SNF and not for their own benefit. In this case, the third parties act as Data Processors on behalf of SNF and are contractually bound to implement adequate technical and organizational security measures in accordance with applicable legislation.

We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and if we do, we will ensure that the transfer is lawful and has the appropriate safeguards as set out in the GDPR.

RETENTION PERIOD

Your data is kept in electronic and/or paper form for a specific period of time required to fulfill the purpose of processing and in any case is deleted within two (2) months after the end of the SNF Nostos Conference.

SECURITY

The security of your personal data is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain security procedures and protocols and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure. However, regardless of the measures and efforts we have taken, we cannot guarantee the absolute protection and security of your personal data.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may, at any time, exercise your rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you. In particular, you may at any time exercise the right to access your personal data. In addition, you have the right to request the rectification of your personal data and, subject to the requirements of the law, to exercise the right to erasurate, the right to restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to the processing of your data. You may also withdraw your consent to the collection and processing of your personal data, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on it prior its withdrawal. You also have the right to file a complaint before the competent Supervisory Authority (Hellenic Data Protection Authority, 1 Kifissias St., Athens, P.O. Box 115 23, Athens, complaints@dpa.gr).

MODIFICATION OF THIS POLICY

The SNF monitors the policies and procedures for the collection and processing of personal data that it implements and may at any time make any modifications in order to ensure the most effective protection of personal data and the adoption of new practices.
