Kathleen Finlay
President of the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming, Founder of the Pleiades Network
Kathleen is the President of the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming; the Founder of Pleiades, a national constellation of women+ changemakers; an advisor at Regenerative California; a judge for Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability Accelerator; and serves a Co-Director of the Rome Sustainable Food Project at the American Academy of Rome, founded by Alice Waters. An experienced organizational leader, writer and network builder, she is particularly interested in empowering women and historically marginalized individuals to address our most pressing issues, especially humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
Kathleen was recently awarded the Rachel Carson Award for Women in Conservation by the National Audubon Society, and serves on the Mid-Hudson Economic Development Council for the state of New York. She was a Visiting Scholar at the American Academy of Rome and currently serves on several Boards and Advisory committees including for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, NY Commissioner of Agriculture Richard Ball, Oxfam, and Planet Women. She provided the forward for the book Kuni: A Japanese Vision and Practice for Urban-Rural Reconnection. Formerly, Kathleen was the Managing Director at Harvard Medical School’s Center for Human Health and Global Environmental Change (now called C-CHANGE).
