Jonathan Fisher
Neuroscientist, Chief Executive Officer of Snorkle
Jonathan Fisher is a scientist, technologist, and storyteller who creates immersive ways for people to explore the brain. He earned his PhD in physics at the University of Pennsylvania and completed postdoctoral work in sensory neuroscience at The Rockefeller University. He directs the Neurosensory Engineering Lab at New York Medical College and has contributed to national research efforts on neurotechnology and virtual reality safety through work at the FDA. A pioneer in virtual reality for science education, Jonathan led the first live-streamed VR neuroanatomy course and founded the Neurodome project, which brings real brain imaging data into planetaria and VR to make neuroscience vivid, accessible, and inspiring. He is a frequent presenter in museums and science festivals and has received numerous awards for innovation across physics, neuroscience, and public communication. A pianist by training, he made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2007, presented by Artists International, and has performed widely throughout the US and Europe.
