Eva Tenuto
Co-founder and Executive Director of the TMI Project
Eva Tenuto co-founded TMI Project in 2010, launching a movement that uses true storytelling as a liberation practice for social justice. Driven by a commitment to releasing shame and stigma through personal narrative, Eva helped grow TMI Project from a living-room experiment into an internationally recognized organization, with work presented everywhere from local communities to the United Nations. Over the past 15 years, she has guided thousands of people in writing and sharing stories that spark connection, healing, and change. In addition to serving as TMI Project’s Executive Director, Eva is a multi-disciplinary artist. She is the co-host of the award-winning podcast The TMI Project Story Hour and the editor and director of multiple solo shows, including one that received Best Comedic Script at the United Solo Festival. Her documentary shorts Vicarious Resilience, Locker Room Talk, and One Story at a Time: Celeste Lecesne have screened internationally at festivals including DC/DOX, Woodstock Film Festival, and GlobeDocs by The Boston Globe. Her personal essays have appeared in anthologies and online publications. Eva is a sought-after speaker on storytelling, social justice, leadership, recovery, and shame, and has presented for organizations including UN Women, Omega Institute, and A Call to Men.
