Elizabeth Good Christopherson

Elizabeth Good Christopherson is the president and CEO of the Rita Allen Foundation, where she has played a pioneering role in fueling civic science systems change. She leads the Foundation’s work to invest early in transformative ideas, support emerging biomedical researchers, and build stronger infrastructure to connect science, democracy, and public life. Under her leadership, the Foundation has expanded its commitment to civic science by developing new partnerships, coalitions, and learning networks that help communities and institutions work together on complex societal challenges. Christopherson is a respected voice across philanthropy and science and serves on the board of the Science Philanthropy Alliance, among others. She previously led New Jersey’s public broadcasting network, where she championed innovation, ethics, and public engagement. A graduate of Wellesley College, she has received multiple honorary degrees and national recognition for her commitment to strengthening the public square.
