Lawyer and Executive Director - Homo Digitalis

Eleftherios Chelioudakis is a Greek lawyer, researcher, and policy expert with extensive experience in AI regulation, data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity. He is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Homo Digitalis, where he leads legal actions and research on emerging technologies, contributes to EU-level policy debates, and participates in key fora and working groups at EU, Council of Europe, and UN level. He also works as an Attorney at Law advising on compliance of algorithmic systems and has supported public and private sector clients across Europe, the UK, Switzerland, and the US. He has also partnered with EU agencies and international organizations, contributing legal analysis on data protection matters, and has served as an external trainer for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights on AI governance in border management. He is a PhD Candidate at the University of the Aegean, Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, holds an LLM in Law and Technology (valedictorian) from Tilburg University, a MSc in Digital Humanities from KU Leuven and a Bachelor in Laws from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
