Dr. Andrew Kung is Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), leading the largest pediatric cancer program in the United States. He serves as Head of the SNF Global Pediatric Cancer Program at MSK Kids, established through a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) as part of its Global Health Initiative. This program builds collaborations with institutions worldwide to bring MSK's deep expertise in pediatric oncology to children across the globe—improving access to advanced diagnostics, expert medical consultations, clinical trials, and workforce training. A recognized leader in translational oncology, Dr. Kung's research transforms laboratory discoveries into clinical therapies for hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and brain tumors. His clinical expertise spans stem cell transplantation, cancer genomics, and precision medicine. Dr. Kung earned his MD and PhD from Stanford University and trained at Boston Children's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
