Wisdom of Happiness Documentary Screening

In this “intimate” 2024 documentary, the now-90-year-old Dalai Lama addresses viewers directly to share, with wisdom and wit, simple lessons for a more peaceful world, one in which cultivating compassion for one another allows us all to thrive.

“Wisdom of Happiness is a very special film that we hope will have a profound effect on how we think and feel about ourselves and others with whom we share this beautiful planet,” says Richard Gere, a producer on the project, which the filmmakers describe as “what is likely to be the Dalai Lama’s last appearance in a film.”

Incorporating striking views of nature and rare archival footage, the film offers both concrete, practical steps anyone can take to live more consciously and a deeply human and personal look at the person enthroned as the head of Tibetan Buddhists at the age of five.
