A party with Laternative at SNF Nostos

Your favorite “DJs who aren’t DJs” are ready to party once again after more than two years away from the aux cord.

Journalists by trade, Stavros Dioskouridis and Panagiotis Menegos have been constantly meeting up in Athens for almost 15 years—at festivals, bars, underground events, and children’s birthday parties. And also, as Greek listeners know, on the radio every day: at first every evening, then for a while at noon and, for the last 9 years, in the morning slot.

Of course, they also meet up at parties—always as party regulars, sometimes as organizers, and very often as “acting DJs.” They have deejayed in packed clubs and dark, empty bars, at big festivals and at a few weddings, on stages made of beer crates and on top of a well. Their style is guilt-free, with no such thing as a “guilty pleasure” song, and they don’t sweat whether the next track fits with the last.

They’re raring to get back to it after a two-year hiatus from Athenian parties. On Friday, June 24, just before and after midnight, they are taking over the music at the SNF Nostos closing party, against the backdrop of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) Canal and a spectacular laser show.

Get ready for indie anthems, some hip-hop, a few disco jams, and perhaps sing-alongs to “Bohemian Rhapsody” and other party hits.

Don’t miss it.
