100 years from the publication of Sikelianos’ Mother of God (Μήτηρ Θεού)
A hundred years ago, in April 1917, Angelos Sikelianos started publishing Mother of God (Μήτηρ Θεού), arguably one of the greatest poems ever composed in the Greek language. The poem’s publication in the literary review Logos was completed in 1919.
