Alexandre Asanovic began his career as a librarian in 2002 at the Bibliothèque Publique d’Information of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. In 2005, he joined the planning team for the University Library of Languages and Civilizations, where he was responsible for overseeing the retrospective conversion of multilingual catalogues. In July 2012, once the library had been established and opened in Paris’s 13th arrondissement, he became Head of the Collections Department. He continued his career in 2017 at the Directorate of Libraries and Documentation (Direction des Bibliothèques et de la Documentation – DBD) of the French National Museum of Natural History, where he was in charge of the reorganization and planning of a new service focused on the intellectual management of collections and library information systems. In 2020, he became Head of Documentary Services at the École du Louvre, where he oversaw a complete redesign of the library, before taking up responsibility for the library of the École française d’Athènes in October 2024.
